About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a high-caliber consulting team operating at the core of the Databricks ecosystem. You’ll design, develop, and deploy ML models and algorithms to solve complex business challenges for enterprise clients — working alongside data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable, production-grade solutions.

This isn’t pipeline maintenance. You’ll tackle complex architectural challenges within a team of industry veterans who value clean architecture over quick fixes — with direct access to Databricks product roadmaps, private previews, and the teams building the platform.

What You’ll Do

ML Engineering & Delivery

  • Design and implement ML models and algorithms on Databricks — predictive analytics, NLP, computer vision, and beyond.
  • Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle: data collection, preprocessing, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Optimize and fine-tune models for performance, accuracy, and scalability in production environments.

Architecture & Infrastructure

  • Contribute to ML infrastructure development: data pipelines, model serving frameworks, and monitoring tools.
  • Work with MLflow and cloud-native MLOps tooling for model deployment and lifecycle management.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Work directly with client stakeholders to understand problems and drive ML-powered solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and data scientists in ML and data engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or related fields.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or Java with strong command of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps tools (MLflow) for model deployment and monitoring.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills — ability to influence stakeholders and work across cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field (PhD is a plus).
  • Experience with NLP, computer vision, or advanced analytics at scale.
  • Previous consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
  • Databricks certifications.
